Chincoteague

Considering how bad the Giants look this first day of Fall, I'll reach back to summer and post my favorite shots from our late season trip to Chincoteague Island.  It was a nice visit, though our beach time was limited due to nasty little biting flies.  I was happy to have my camera as the waterfront near our hotel offered some interesting subjects.  I thought the rusty old fishing boats were cool and the sunsets were spectacular!  Some migrating shore birds rounded it out.

 

 

 

 

Shore Birds

A great day at the beach yesterday inspired me to present a collection of a few of the shore bird pictures I've taken.   It won't be long and these guys will have the beaches to themselves!

 

 

 

July Lavender 2013
